* Faculty and staff, plan to attend an all campus party, Shockin' Fun Friday, hosted by Student Affairs. From 3-5 p.m. Friday, June 1, in the RSC East Courtyard, join your fellow faculty and staff members for food, prizes, games and more to kick off the summer! Prizes include a reserved "red" parking spot for a year, a TV, athletic tickets and more! Must be present to win. Families are welcome. This is a come-and-go event, no RSVP required.
* The College of Education will host Shocker STEM Camp in July for boys and girls who have completed grades 3-8. Campers will spend four days performing hands-on activities as they explore a variety of STEM topics including programming, forensic science (CSI) and engineering design. * TV and web viewers can get a view of the 蹤獲扦 and downtown Wichita skyline thanks to a high-definition camera on top of Lindquist Hall. The recently installed camera is used during KSN-TV 3 newscasts, primarily during weather segments, but in other parts of the newscast as well. * People of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in swim lessons through the Wichita Aqua Shocks. Classes are offered either in a group, private or semi-private setting. * 蹤獲扦's Blackboard Learn environment will be undergoing scheduled maintenance between 10 p.m. Friday, June 1, and 6 a.m. Saturday, June 2. During that window, Blackboard will be unavailable. If you have questions or issues, contact OneStop for Blackboard support.
* A representative from Leepfrog will be on campus to train faculty and administrators on the new electronic curriculum system on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 5-6. Training will include how to propose new and edit existing programs and courses, as well as how the electronic workflow approval process works. Watch for future emails with more details and sign-up instructions for the training sessions.
* The Department of Athletics invites you to join them in celebrating the retirement of Ruth Matz from 4-6 p.m. Friday, June 8, in the Champions Club in Charles Koch Arena. Matz has served in 蹤獲扦 Athletics for nearly 36 years. Please RSVP by Friday, June 1, to sdomann@goshockers.com.
