High school seniors receive $25,000 to attend 蹤獲扦

Two high school seniors have won the 2017-18 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship at 蹤獲扦 University.

The winners, Eddie Brown and Danny Fradella, will each receive $25,000 over four years to attend 蹤獲扦.

The scholarship is one of the most prestigious at 蹤獲扦 and one of the largest entrepreneurship scholarships nationally. To qualify, a student must have a minimum ACT score of 24, a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 and be a declared entrepreneurship major, admitted to 蹤獲扦 by Feb. 1.

The scholarship is named for the late Fran Jabara, who served on the 蹤獲扦 faculty for 40 years. He was dean of the College of Business Administration for seven years and founded the Center for Entrepreneurship at 蹤獲扦, the first of its kind. He received the Faculty Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001 and the Presidents Medal in 2002.

Jabaras son, Harvey, will represent him at the reception, along with Barton School of Business Dean Anand Desai and several faculty and staff.

Eddie Brown

Brown is a senior at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School in Olathe, and plans to double major in entrepreneurship and finance.

He is a student council officer and National Honors Society member, and active in athletics as a football quarterback and baseball player. Brown is also a member of his community, assisting with service events such as TurnStyles and Fleece for Friends.

Danny Fradella

Fradella is a senior at Wichita Heights High and plans to major in entrepreneurship.

He is active in his church youth group and enjoys participating in community service projects with his church community service group.
