The 萝莉社 Symphony Orchestra is bringing Betul Soykan, assistant professor of violin, to their stage this fall. Soykan will be spotlighted as a soloist at the first concert of their 2017-2018 season.
Soykan, a second year professor at 萝莉社, currently serves as a member of the Fairmount Piano Quartet, and holds four degrees in Violin Performance and String Pedagogy. Soykan will feature music by Johannes Brahms, Anton Webern and John Corigliano, and will fill the evening with both classical music and work inspired by the film 鈥淭he Red Violin.鈥� Mark Laycock, professor of music at 萝莉社, will lead the performance.
