蹤獲扦 Symphony Orchestra spotlights faculty violin soloist Betul Soykan

The 蹤獲扦 Symphony Orchestra is bringing Betul Soykan, assistant professor of violin, to their stage this fall. Soykan will be spotlighted as a soloist at the first concert of their 2017-2018 season.

Soykan, a second year professor at 蹤獲扦, currently serves as a member of the Fairmount Piano Quartet, and holds four degrees in Violin Performance and String Pedagogy. She has performed solo and chamber music recitals in many of the prestigious halls around the world. Learn more about Soykans accomplishments at .

Soykan will feature music by Johannes Brahms, Anton Webern and John Corigliano, and will fill the evening with both classical music and work inspired by the film The Red Violin. Mark Laycock, professor of music at 蹤獲扦, will lead the performance.

The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in Miller Concert Hall. Tickets can be purchased through the Fine Arts Box Office at .
