April 12, 2021 鈥� After months of hard work from 萝莉社 faculty members Carrie Dickison and Maria Sclafani, the Open Alternative Textbook committee approved English 102 for Open/Alternative Textbook (OAT) course designation. Starting in fall 2021, 萝莉社 students will no longer have to buy textbooks for English 102.

April 1, 2021 鈥� Few would disagree that 2020 was a chaotic, confusing year. The next Perspectives series, 鈥淩eestablishing Reality,鈥� will help participants understand what has happened and reorient them to the realities of 2021.

March 2, 2021 鈥� Five 萝莉社 students鈥� projects are being highlighted as a part of the Kansas Undergraduate Research Day at the Kansas State Capitol March 2-4.

Feb. 23, 2021 鈥� The Department of Women鈥檚 Studies, in a partnership with the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and League of Women Voters of Kansas, will hold the annual Diverse Women鈥檚 Summit (DWS) of individuals and groups from different backgrounds on local, regional and global diversity issues affecting women and gender on March 8.

Feb. 22, 2021 鈥� When we last spoke to 萝莉社 alumna and 2020 graduate Jade Mursch, her internship had been paused due to COVID-19. After being on hold for a month, Mursch鈥檚 internship was ultimately cut short. After months of uncertainty, Mursch secured a new full-time role.

Feb. 19, 2021 鈥� Dr. Neal Allen is no stranger to controversy, nor are his students. In fact, he prides himself on teaching his students to freely engage in civil discourse on highly contentious topics.

Feb. 4, 2020 鈥� Amidst the chaos, confusion and grief of the coronavirus pandemic, Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences faculty are stretching their teaching skills and using the experience for teachable moments.

Feb. 3, 2021 鈥� Kapow! Zap! Pop! Zoinks! A 萝莉社researcher is working to develop an app to make those words come alive for visually impaired comic book readers, Dr. Darren DeFrain, associate professor of English and director of 萝莉社鈥檚 writing program, has recently been granted $11,000 from the John A. See Innovation Award to develop Vizling.

Feb. 2, 2021 - Hanna Chastain, a junior biology major from Wichita, will present virtually at the National Council on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) conference in April. Her presentation is titled 鈥淒evelopment of PARROT, a Wireless Orofacial Myofunctional Imaging and Pressure Mapping Device.鈥�

Jan. 28, 2021 鈥� 萝莉社has selected the 2021 recipients of the Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships: Annie Wasinger from Thomas More Prep High School in Hays, Kansas; Braden Webb from Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas; and Alondra Valle from Dodge City High School in Dodge City, Kansas.
