Dec. 11, 2023 鈥� More than 1,400 students are eligible to participate in 萝莉社 University鈥檚 126th fall commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17 in Charles Koch Arena.

Dec. 11, 2023 - Tyler Lefebvre enjoys Wichita鈥檚 dining scene and the activities and clubs offered at 萝莉社 University. He has been involved with the 萝莉社鈥檚 varsity esports program as a team member and helping organize and manage the team.

Dec. 8, 2023 - Ryan Littlejohn worked his way through 萝莉社with help from instructors who guided him through the balancing act of academics and a busy life.

Dec. 8, 2023 - Courtney Lockhart enjoys escaping to nearby Lake Afton Park to fish and relax. He works for the Student Outreach and Support/CARE Team in Student Affairs at 萝莉社 University.

Dec. 08, 2023 鈥� Mariana Vazquez Serna got involved at 萝莉社鈥檚 and made connections with her peers and professors by joining clubs and attending events on campus, something she advises other students to do as well during their time at 萝莉社. She will work as an associate for an accounting firm after graduating with her BBA in accounting.

Dec. 08, 2023 鈥� Amanda Morales found it difficult to balance her studies while being a mother and wife and working full-time, but through the support of those around her, she was able to persist and will now graduate this fall with her bachelor鈥檚 degree in education.

Dec. 06, 2023 鈥� Addison Karsak, who goes by Addi, encourages Shockers to get involved with the campus community and to make sure to seek advice when they feel they are struggling. She will receive her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a minor in Health Management and hopes to continue her education by getting her Doctor of Chiropractic after graduating.

Dec. 06, 2023 鈥� Gabriela Malache, who goes by Gaby, is a Wichita native graduating with her BA in exercise science. She found it difficult to adapt to a fully online learning environment, but she took every advantage to step out of her comfort zone when she got back to campus, which she says other students should do as well.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社is excited to announce a $100,000 commitment from T. Michael Young, a retired managing partner at The CapStreet Group, to create a new Barton School scholarship for business students with financial needs. Young was a first-generation college student who graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from 萝莉社 while married and working full-time.

Dec. 05, 2023 鈥� Joe Mazzara is a GSA serving as the assistant director of聽萝莉社 Esports, an opportunity that initially drew him to 萝莉社. He was also a featured guest on the聽September 2023 episode of President Rick Muma's "Forward Together" podcast. After graduating with his master鈥檚 degree, he plans to pursue additional education by pursuing his doctorate.

Dec. 05, 2023 鈥� Brittany Wojciechowski is currently working for Jacobs Space Exploration Group doing contract work for the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. She was also a featured guest in the聽May 2023 episode of President Rick Muma鈥檚 鈥淔orward Together鈥� podcast. While at 萝莉社, Brittany conducted numerous research projects, including聽as part of the AeroFeathers team. She will receive her Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering this fall as a first-gen student.

Isaac Wayne Woolsey, who was instrumental to the creation of the new home for W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社 University, has passed away at age 92. The facility, located on the Innovation Campus at 萝莉社, was named the Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall in honor of Wayne and his wife for their donation of $10 million to the Barton School followed by another $1.3 million gift to create the Kay Woolsey Gardens and Woolsey Hall Technology Fund.

Nov. 29, 2023 鈥� The first carrier-neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP) in Kansas is slated to be located at 萝莉社 University, improving internet access, affordability and speed for 萝莉社, Innovation Campus and Shocker Neighborhood users and for users across much of Kansas.

Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社and the Kansas Insurance and Financial Services Education Foundation (KIFSEF) have joined forces to create a new Certificate in Financial Services through the Barton School. This certificate reflects the modern and interconnected financial services sector, and comes as the result of a direct need for banking, insurance, healthcare and other industries.
