What is your job title, the company you work for, and your duties during your applied learning experience?

I am an intern for the Media Resources Center. I am currently helping with the information board for Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall (萝莉社鈥檚 new home for the W. Frank Barton School of Business). I also help with events. Most recently, I helped with the 萝莉社 Tech Nursing pinning ceremony.

How long do you expect to work in your current position?

I started my internship in the spring of 2022 and will continue through the summer.

How did you learn about this opportunity?

I am an athlete on the 萝莉社 track and field team. Coach John Wise, is good friends with Curt Rierson (video project manager at the MRC), so he recommended me for the job.

How is this experience helping you build your resume and prepare you for your career?

I have expanded my resume by learning a new programming language, as well as getting hands-on experience with quite a few Adobe applications.

How have your classes and experiences at 萝莉社 prepared you to succeed in this applied-learning opportunity?

My classes have provided me a learning base structure of certain features that I am using in the internship, such as the coding language C++ which helped allowed me to learn Python.

What advice would you give other students who are looking for hands-on experiences in their major while they finish college?

My advice would be to make connections and network.
