Wichita will host the NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Championship first and second rounds at Intrust Bank Arena from March 20-22, 2025, providing 蹤獲扦 students with applied learning opportunities in sports and event management.

Dr. Mike Ross, a faculty member in 蹤獲扦s Sport Management program, and recently appointed CAS Associate Dean for Faculty & Staff Affairs, is serving as the tournaments communication coordinator and is working alongside 蹤獲扦 Athletics, Visit Wichita, and local organizations to bring the event to Wichita. Through this partnership, students will have access to paid positions and internships, gaining real-world experience in event operations, logistics, staff and volunteer coordination, and media relations.

These roles will allow students to work directly with professionals in the sports industry, building their resumes and expanding their professional networks while contributing to the execution of a high-profile NCAA event.
