University's Teacher Apprentice Program™ (TAP) and Credit Union of America (CUA) joined to celebrate the achievements of TAP™ graduates at their annual pinning ceremony for the December TAP program graduates. This brings the total TAP graduates for the 2023-2024 academic year to an impressive 203, showcasing the program's commitment to shaping the future of educators.
Notably, CUA awarded scholarships to four recipients: Alexus Covel, Amber Dickey, Karissa Esau, and Mary Janssen, recognizing their dedication and achievements.
In a significant stride towards supporting education, CUA has purchased 107 Praxis exam vouchers through the Teacher Licensure Test Support Fund as of December 2023. This fund, established in partnership with the College of Applied Studies (CAS), aims to alleviate financial barriers for student teachers pursuing licensure exams.
The Fall 2023 TAP enrollment included 677 students in over 164 school districts from across the State of Kansas, reflecting the continuous growth and success of 's Teacher Apprentice Program.
