Visual Anthropology Lab
Visual Anthropology is, at its base, the study of visual representation; of art, archaeological
artifacts, architecture - of people, the human body, dance, proxemics, gestures, movement,
and body language, and many other human and even non-human primate behavior and material.
Technological advancements in film and photography and the scope and immediacy of
access to human created images are bringing new questions and research to bear in
visual anthropology. At 蹤獲扦 there is a great resource for students at the
visual anthropology lab, a resource that steps in stride with others such as SARF
- offering the resources for students to compile images of biological anthropology
work into usable materials to assist in research and projects.
