The sociology department at 蹤獲扦 offers courses of study leading to the Master of Arts (MA) degree with options for thesis and non-thesis programs. Our program offers a structured two-year series of courses that provide a strong foundation in sociological theory and research methods.

The Master of Arts in Sociology at 蹤獲扦. Choose between thesis and non-thesis options. Get a hands-on research experience and develop your own research interests and projects. Gain a social justice perspective and develop insights about the effects of social structures on individuals and communities. Graduate Teaching Assistantships are available and include a monthly stipend and partial tuition waiver of up to 75 percent. Preparation for Diverse Careers

The 蹤獲扦Department of Sociology emphasizes a social justice perspective, and students develop insights about the effects of social structures on individual lives and communities. For example, faculty research focuses on issues such as teen dating violence, sexual minority well-being, gentrification, gender-affirming health care, educational policy, and caregiving in later life. Our programs prepares students for employment in a number of different fields. Our graduates work in a number of different research positions and non-profit agencies, and many have gone on to competitive Ph.D. programs across the nation.
