The School of Art, Design and Creative Industries boasts 120,000+ square feet of space shared between the McKnight Art Center and Henrion Hall. At Portfolio Review Day, visitors will have a chance to tour our lecture rooms, studio spaces, and exhibition venues.
Learn About Degrees.
The School of Art, Design and Creative Industries offers four undergraduate majors: art education, art history, graphic design and studio art. Within studio art, we offer concentrations in applied drawing, ceramics media, community and social practice, painting media, photo media, print media and sculpture media. At Portfolio Review Day, participants will have the opportunity to meet with degree representatives and gain a better understanding of what degree path theyd like to pursue.

The School of Art, Design and Creative Industries awards more than $120,000 in scholarships annually. Portfolio Review Day allows prospective students the opportunity to gain insight into the scholarship application process ahead of ADCIs priority scholarship deadline on February 20th.

Check In
Participants will arrive at the first floor of the McKnight Art Center (west building) to check in. During the check in process, they will receive a name tag, swag bag, and can grab some snacks.
Set Up
After checking in, an ADCI staff member will direct participants to a table in the atrium, or a nearby classroom, for set up.
Begin Review
Once set up is complete, students will be paired with various faculty members based on creative interests. These faculty members will rotate throughout the event to meet with students one-on-one, answer questions, and provide feedback on portfolios.
There is no fee to register for Portfolio Review Day.
Yes! Portfolio Review Day is open to all high school juniors, high school seniors, community college students, and adult learners.
Strong portfolios will contain six to twelve pieces in a range of mediums, but also demonstrate proficiency in at least one area. Portfolios may contain school assignments, independent work and/or professional work.
Portfolio or no portfolio, we want to meet with you! Even if you have no artwork to present, Portfolio Review Day is still a great opportunity to tour facilities, meet faculty, and ask any questions you may have.
Artists of all mediums are welcome to participate in Portfolio Review Day! For digital artwork, we ask that you bring a laptop, tablet, or other device to show images of your work.
