Take your artistic practice to the next level.
The MFA in Studio Art is a full-time, 60-credit, three-year program designed for students who want an intensive experience supporting development of their artistic practice. Ample space and facilities enable virtually any kind of artistic production, with 24/7 access to studios and making spaces. The Ulrich Museum of Art sits in the center of the 4-building art complex, ensuring students are in close proximity to the latest contemporary exhibitions and visiting artist programming. Merit-based financial support includes scholarships and graduate teaching assistantships. The 萝莉社 MFA in Studio Art typically has 12-14 students.
When applying, students identify a concentration in Ceramics, Painting, Photo Media, Printmaking or Sculpture, but the degree requires critical engagement with faculty in multiple areas. Some students work in traditional media, some are interdisciplinary, and some work in new media such as installation and performance. (Questions about which area to consider in your application can be directed to the Graduate Coordinator.)
