Stop by 蹤獲扦 Printmaking Guild's Steamroller Event This Evening
The 蹤獲扦 Printmaking Guild, Tornado Alley Press, is hosting a steamroller printmaking event TODAY from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Groover Labs (334 N St. Francis Ave). The event is free! Artwork will be available for purchase and food trucks will be on-site.
In case of rain, the event will move to the 蹤獲扦 Printmaking Studio in McKnight Art Center 216. Follow for updates.
First-Year Honors Advisory Board Sedgwick County Zoo Trip
It's been a wild and wonderful year! Why not celebrate the year's end with a trip to the real Zoo?
All first-year Honors students are invited to attend the First-Year Honors Advisory Board (FHAB) Sedgwick County Zoo Trip on Saturday, May 7th at 11:15 a.m. or 2:15 p.m. Admission is free and shuttles will be available. Shuttles will leave from Shocker Hall at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and return at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. RSVP early as shuttle spaces are limited to 12 seats. If attending without the shuttle service, meet at the front entrance of the Zoo to go in as a group.

Register for Partners in the Parks: Appalachian Trail with NCHC
Partners in the Parks (PITP) is an outdoor experiential learning program sponsored by the National Collegiate Honors Council, in partnership with the National Parks System and led by faculty from colleges and universities across the United States. PITP projects at national parks across the country offer unique opportunities for collegiate honors students and faculty to visit areas of the American landscape noted for their beauty, significance, and lasting value.
The Appalachian National Scenic Trail project will take place from May 27th - June 4th, 2022. For more information and to sign up, visit the .

Honors College graduates and their families are invited to celebrate at this come-and-go event! Enjoy donuts and coffee while viewing the graduate recognition slideshow on Friday, May 13th between 9:30 11:30 a.m. Brief remarks will be given at 10:00 a.m. .

The Honors Student Council aims to develop a strong sense of community and common identity among Honors students by providing opportunities and serving as a refuge to all students of the Cohen Honors College. The Council uses innovative approaches to identify and address the challenges and needs of all Honors students and serves as the voice of students through communication with the staff, faculty, and Dean of the Cohen Honors College.
Call for Honors in Practice Journal Submissions
Honors in Practice is accepting submissions for Volume 19 (2023). The deadline is January 1st, 2023.
Honors in Practice (HIP) is a refereed journal of applied research publishing articles about innovative honors practices and integrative, interdisciplinary, and pedagogical issues of interest to honors educators. HIP employs a double-blind peer review process. Authors should include discussion of how central ideas and practices may be applied in campus settings other than their own, and the thesis should be located within a larger context such as theoretical perspectives, trends in higher education, or historical background. Essays should demonstrate awareness of previous discussions of the topic in honors publications and other relevant sources; bibliographies of JNCHC, HIP, and the NCHC Monograph Series are available on the NCHC website.
