Admission to the program

To be admitted into the Ph.D. program, you must:

  • Have a minimum 3.25 GPA in all graduate coursework
  • Have a master鈥檚 degree in engineering, physical science or other related discipline
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must submit official, acceptable scores for either the TOEFL, the Academic Module of the IELTS examination, or the PTE-Academic test

To earn the Ph.D., students must pass comprehensive exams, a dissertation approval exam and dissertation defense.
