Do you dread going to the DMV? The Kansas Division of Vehicles is going mobile to
make it easier for you to get or renew your Kansas ID or Drivers License. Representatives
will be at 蹤獲扦 on Thursday, September 7, 2023 in the RSC room 203. This opportunity is available to both international and domestic students, staff,
and faculty at 蹤獲扦. *If you require testing you must reserve an early morning appointment. All testing
ends one hour before lunch and one hour before close. If you wish to take the WRITTEN
TEST for a permit or license, please reserve an appointment between 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
or 12:30 - 2 p.m.
Signing up for an appointment is required. You must register using your wichita.edu email address to reserve a time for an on-campus appointment 2 weeks prior to the event. Click to schedule an appointment.

What will be available?

Issue new Kansas IDs to international students/faculty

Issue new Kansas Learners Permits or Driver Licenses to international students/faculty who have completed Drivers Ed (will need Drivers Ed Permit or Certificate of Completion)

Issue written tests for Learners Permits for those interested in beginning to drive

Issue new Kansas ID or License to those moving here from out of state

Renew current Kansas credentials for international/domestic students and faculty

Replace lost/stolen Kansas credentials for international/domestic students and faculty

Change address on current Kansas Credentials for international/domestic students and faculty

Change name on current Kansas credential w/proper legal name change document

Add Real ID indicator to existing Kansas credentials; Required by October 1st 2020 to board airplanes for flights, visit military bases, and enter federal buildings.
International Students/Faculty/Dependents seeking a first time credential will need:
- Valid passport
- I-20 or I-94 (arrival/departure record)
- Employment Authorization Card (if you are an international scholar, STEM OPT graduate, employee, or 'dependent' and you've been issued one)
- 2 proofs of residential address (examples: bank statement, class transcript w/ address, Amazon or USPS package, paystub w/ home address, etc.)
International Students/Faculty/Dependents renewing will need:
- Current KS ID or DL
- Valid Passport
- I-20 or I-94
- Employment Authorization Card (if you are an international scholar, STEM OPT graduate, employee, or 'dependent' and you've been issued one)
- Proof of address if you need an address change
International Students/Faculty/Dependents who need to replace a lost/stolen credential will need a proof of address and 2 of the following:
- Valid passport
- I-20 or I-94
- Employment Authorization Card
- Student ID/Staff ID
Domestic Student/Faculty seeking a renewal or address change:
- Current KS ID or DL
- Proof of address (if it needs changed)
Domestic Students/Faculty needing a replacement need on proof or address and 2 of the following:
- Old KS ID or DL
- State Issued Certified Copy of Birth Certificate
- Cert of Naturalization of Birth Abroad
- Valid US Passport
- W2
- Paystub
- Student ID
- Work ID
- Valid Vehicle Registration/Vehicle Insurance
Domestic Students/Faculty seeking Real ID Indicator need all of the following:
- Current KS ID or DL
- Valid US Passport, State Issued Certified copy of birth certificate or Certificate of Naturalization or Certificate of Birth Abroad
- SSN card, W2, 1099, or DD214 (for veterans) *only one from this list is needed
- Proof of legal name change if current name differs from that on ID or DL (state issued marriage certificate, adoption papers, court ordered name change, etc.)
- Proof of address w/ name and current residential address on it
