Overview
Scott Redler is a restaurant industry veteran with 45 years of experience as franchisor, owner, and operator. He earned a degree in restaurant and hotel management. After graduation, he managed many restaurants including a 5-star restaurant and started numerous concepts of his own.
In 2002, Redler launched Freddys along with his business partners Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon. After franchising in 2004, Freddys has grown to nearly 450 locations serving 36 states across the nation. With a majority sale of Freddys Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in early 2021, Redler sits on the board of Freddys and has formed Redler Hospitality, Inc and is assisting other companies around the country.
Redler also has other restaurant ownership stakes in restaurants including a BBQ Concept in Kansas City. He serves on the Board of the National Restaurant Association and served multiple years for the Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association. He currently is Vice Chair of the National Restaurant Association and is in line for chair in 2023.
Known for his philanthropy, he has served on a variety of non-profit boards. In 2018, he and his wife Betsy started a scholarship fund for Hospitality students at Butler Community College. In April of 2021, Redler and his wife Betsy announced their donation to build an 8,000 square foot Culinary and Hospitality Center in South Central Kansas to change lives and promote the hospitality industry.
