Areas of Research Interest

Sar覺繹nder's primary research interests focus on gender and minority issues, domestic violence, and secondary/vicarious trauma. Her doctoral research was on secondary trauma of domestic violence shelter workers. In addition, she conducted ethnographic fieldwork on Anatolian Alevis, an ethno-religious minority of Turkey, as well as on female Muslim students in Indonesia.
