Overview

Kayla graduated from Friends University in her hometown of Wichita, Kansas with a B.A. in English/Drama and Spanish. She then moved to Los Angeles where she worked in film both in front of and behind the camera. As a SAG-AFTRA actor, she has worked professionally on nearly thirty different film/TV projects and has garnered a range of experience from low-budget pilots and independent films to network television and major studio movies.

Many of her projects have been seen on Netflix, On Demand, Redbox, Apple Plus, Amazon Prime, Foxs Tubi, Lifetime, as well as in movie theatres across the country. Kayla began teaching in Los Angeles under the Will Wallace Acting Company and later, the SAG Conservatory at the American Film Institute where she worked with actors on scene study, cold-reading, and audition technique. She has coached performers of all ages and skill levels for both film and stage and enjoys bringing her first-hand experience of the business to the classroom. Kayla is passionate about growing film and fostering talent within the Wichita community and helping her students tap into their own unique storytelling abilities.

When she is not running around Shocker Studios, Kayla can be found riding her horses, spending time with her husband, and being a mom to her two little ones (which is, in her opinion, the role of a lifetime).
