Brittany Lockard is Assistant Professor of Art History and Creative Industries at 蹤獲扦 University. She received her PhD in Contemporary Art History from the University of Kansas in 2012. Her research interests include body diversity, identity politics, and the social dimensions of food and eating. Her recent work investigates the ways in which depictions of large bodies resonate with cultural constructions of fatness.
Lockard has recently presented her work at the Southeastern College Art Conference (2014), Midwest Art History Society (2014 and 2012), the College Art Association (2013), and the Mid-America Humanities Conference: Bodies, Pleasures, Spaces (2011). She also serves on the Student and Emerging Professionals Committee of the College Art Association.
