College Greenlight unites a collective of advocates to make higher education more accessible to underserved students with unprecedented opportunities by bridging information and opportunity gaps with free resources for community and school-based advisers.
  •   One of several college-choice websites offered by the U.S. Department of Education and inspired by President Barack Obama; an interactive tool, designed to help parents and prospective students to weigh college options, including cost, graduation rates, loan default rates, and median borrowing.
  •  - Provides college preparation checklists and links to websites on exploring career options, choosing a school, types of financial aid with eligibility requirements, FAFSA, student loans, and credit counseling.
  •   Find information about deadlines, completing applications and options for filing federal student aid; find college school codes; learn about the IRS Data Retrieval Tool; and use FAFSA4caster to see how federal student aid can help pay for college.
  •   A FREE turnkey financial literacy program specifically focused on basic personal finance skills that are relevant to the lives of teens in grades 8-12. It contains six 40-page student guides, one for each of the following personal finance topics: Money Management, Borrowing, Earning Power, Investing, Financial Services, and Insurance. The website is powered by the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE).
  •  - Help is provided in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Certfied Wichita Public School teachers can answer questions on elementary assignments and provide support for middle school and high school math, language arts, social studies, science and ESOL. The Homework Hotline is open Monday through Thursday from 3:30-7:30 p.m. during the school year.
  •   Kansas Association of Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA) site provides students with online videos, other resources and events, like College Goal Sunday, to help them complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Online videos include: Overview of the Financial Aid Process, FAFSA Overview, Determining Your Dependency Status, Myths About Financial Aid, and Types of Federal Student Aid.
  •   A nonprofit educational organization created in 2006 by educator Salman Khan with the aim of providing free, world-class education for anyone, anywhere. Learn for free about math, art, computer programming, economics, physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, finance, history, and more.
  •  - Provided by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Lists and describes various careers, including the job outlook; salary; the work environment; education, training, and other qualifications needed; information on state and area data, similar occupations; and other sources of additional information. 
  •  - Learn more about the consistent grading practices established across the Wichita Public School district based on achievement of what students should know and are able to do at each grade level. This site includes parent resources, elementary grading practices, secondary grading practices, and the  including the Superintendant Grading YouTube video. 
  • - Mentoring for a better tomorrow. UStrive provides high school and college students with free online mentoring to help them get to college, graduate, and begin their careers. There's also a link to the I'm First online community that celebrates students who are the first in their family to go to college. Check out the student blogs, video stories, and discover colleges with special programs to support first-gen students.
