Dispense Food on Campus
Definitions
- "Food" is any raw or processed substance or ingredients intended for consumption.
- "Perishable Food" is food capable of (1) supporting rapid and progressive growth of infectious or toxigenic microorganisms that may cause food infections or food intoxications, or (2) supporting the growth or toxin product of Clostridium botulinum. Perishable food is considered potentially hazardous.
Complimentary Food/Closed Potluck
- Persons providing the Food must do so at their own expense.
- Persons eating the Food provided will not be charged.
- Food may not be offered to the general public for consumption or offered in a public setting.
- Perishable Food must be maintained at its required temperature. Hot food must be kept hot and cold food must be kept cold.
- Closed potluck events may include Perishable Food items.
Copies of the "Guidelines for University Departments, Faculty, Unclassified Professionals and Classified Staff to Dispense Food on Campus" are on file in the office of the Vice President for Administration & Finance.
