Mock Interview Helps Student Soar

Ceferino Gimenez, a graduate of 蹤獲扦 Universitys Executive MBA program, recently found himself in a bind. He had a big interview coming up and needed help preparing and quick! Gimenez reached out to Dr. Saeed, Associate Dean for Graduate Studies in Business, in hopes to better prepare for his interview that upcoming Sunday, where he was among the top three candidates for the position.

Luckily, Dr. Saeed knew just who to call the Career Development Center! Donisha Ross, Career Specialist for the Barton School of Business, discussed job interview tips as well as performed a mock interview with Gimenez two days prior to meeting with his potential future employer.

Gimenez, a multilingual pilot with 18 years of experience with Flight Safety International, was well-qualified for the position. He holds multiple pilot certificates and credentials, a Flight Operations Management degree from Geneva, Switzerland as well as a bachelors degree in Aeronautical Technology from Kansas State University, and has worked as a pilot examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency.

Leaving the Career Development Center on Friday afternoon, Ceferino Gimenez felt comfortable and ready to answer any question that may arise at his interview. His time at Wichita State University, along with his impressive resume and newfound confidence from mock interviewing, had prepared him to go into Sunday with composure and ease.

I sincerely appreciate the assistance with my interview preparation, said Gimenez.

After competing against other well-qualified candidates, with the Career Development Centers help, he landed the job and is now looking forward to working as the Director of Flight Operations at Kansas State University Polytechnic!
