WICHITA, KANSAS - Effective at 8 am on Thursday, September 26, 2019, Kylie Lipetzky has resigned from her position as Chief of Operations within the Cabinet of the 62nd Session of the Student Government Association.
Lipetzky officially addressed the Senate during the Remarks and Announcements section of the meeting held on Wednesday, September 25. In her statement, Lipetzky remarked that she will be stepping down due to additional time constraints and lack of experience within the Government Relations field.
Lipetzky filled her role as Chief of Operations thoroughly and added a unique perspective to the Cabinet that will be sorely missed. In her address to the Senate, she emphasized her passion for the Association and hopes to continue to serve the student body by applying for an At-Large Senator position following the resignation.
Additionally, Lipetzky stated that the person to fill the Chief of Operations position must come into the position with a passion for and background in Government Relations. She states, I see this as me giving someone the opportunity to utilize the Chief of Operations role who has the adequate experience within Senate and also within the Government Relations role.
The Association will immediately open applications for the position of Chief of Operations, which will be located on the Student Government Association website, .
On behalf of the 62nd Session of the Student Government Association, we greatly appreciate Kylies time and dedication to not only her position but the association as a whole. We look forward to seeing the difference she will continue to make for the student body and welcome the fresh ideas and perspectives of a new Chief of Operations.
