Jet can fly from Miami to London in just under five hours, rather than the standard nine hours.

Boom Supersonic is developing a new generation of supersonic passenger jets that will fly at speeds of up to 1,451mph (2,335km/h).

The company was founded in 2014 by Blake Scholl, a former pilot and commercial space entrepreneur.

The XB-1 is a subscale demonstrator of Boom's planned two-seat supersonic jet, the Overture.
