The Chhattisgarh Raj Bhavan is peeved at Governor Anusuiya Uike not being invited to One-Day International (ODI) cricket match between Indian and New Zealand.

It was the first ODI match at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in new capital city Nava Raipur where India beat New Zealand taking a 2-0 lead on Saturday.

The Raj Bhavan is apparently unhappy for being “ignored” by the organizers and felt that neither the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)

The state government reportedly said that such matches are organised by BCCI as per the protocols of the ICC therefore state government has nothing to do with it.

the Chhattisgarh government, has bothered to reach out with an invitation to the Governor for the big event being held for the first time in the capital.

On the other hand, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said that it will registeer an objection as neither the BCCI nor the state government had sent any invitation.

Mohammed Shami led an incredible bowling performance while Captain Rohit Sharma scored a half century to take India to the much-needed win.

The final ODI will be played on January 24. The match will be played at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore where India and New Zealand will take on each other once again.
