“Any injury, no matter very serious to needing a Band-Aid,” said Henry Clay High School Athletic Trainer Peter Gray.

Like athletic trainers at several central Kentucky schools, Gray works for UK Healthcare. He said when it comes to student-athletes, it is all about creating good habits.

“Help them understand why their body is so sore or why their muscles are so tight, or why they’re having knee pain,” Gray explained.
