 ITR Form 16 is a document issued by the employer to the employee, specifying the employee's income and taxes deducted at source.

Form 16 is issued by the employer on or before the due date of filing the employee's income tax return.

ITR Form 16 is required to be filed along with the income tax return.

It is also known as TDS certificate as it contains details of tax deducted at source by the employer from the employee's salary.
