One person was killed, three others injured in a stabbing incident that officials reported as a domestic dispute within in a family Sunday night in Montebello.

The incident occurred in the 200 block of North 5th Street just before 6 p.m., according to Michael Chee, Public Information Officer for the City of Montebello.

Paramedics and ambulances were called to the scene and all four victims, including one who was in serious condition, were transported to the hospital.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which is assisting Montebello PD in the investigation, one of those victims was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Authorities did not provide any information about the age and genders of those involved in the alleged dispute.

Investigators believe the four stabbings were the result of a dispute within a single family that started with an argument and a fight.

Detectives are continuing to investigate and there were no initial reports of anyone in custody, but authorities said there were "no additional external suspects involved."
