The polling to elect the 15th President of India peacefully concluded in Parliament House and state legislative assemblies.

The voting began at 10 am and went on till 5 pm.

NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu has a clear edge over Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.

Presidential elections 2022: Nearly 4,800 elected MPs and MLAs voted on Monday (July 18, 2022) to elect India's 15th President.

The polling, which began at 10 am at the Parliament House and state legislative assemblies, continued till 5 pm.

The results will be announced on July 21.

The next President will take oath on July 25 as President Ram Nath Kovind's tenure comes to an end on July 24.
