In the program organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, RG Agarwal, chairman of agrochemical firm Dhanuka Group, advocated the use of modern technology like drones and artificial intelligence in the agriculture sector.

He said that its use would improve the crop yield and would help in reducing the cost of the farmer and increasing the income.

In the Veterinary Hall of Agricultural University, he told that drones are being used for various activities including spraying of pesticides in the agriculture sector.

Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said on Sunday that the use of drone technology will facilitate farmers in farming.

Many such tasks related to agriculture, which earlier used to take several days, will now be done in a few minutes with the help of drones.

This drone technology will not only provide employment to the youth but will also solve the labor shortage, as well as help in saving soil and environment.

This technology will protect the crops from insects, flies and locusts besides reducing the cost of spraying and increase their income.

The Agriculture Minister said that drone spraying can help farmers to spray one acre of field in just seven minutes.
