Sept. 16, 2021鈥� The 萝莉社College of Applied Studies announced today the launch of Men of Color: Educators of Tomorrow, a new mentor education program for young men of color interested in pursuing careers in teaching and other education-related paths.

Oct. 16, 2021 - Later this fall, pickleball becomes permanent on campus at the Heskett Center鈥檚 Outdoor Sports Complex. 聽When it became necessary to resurface six tennis courts, John Lee, director of Campus Recreation, decided to do something different. The complex will feature four pickleball courts, two courts for tennis and two existing courts for half-court basketball and one for futsal.聽

Sept. 13, 2021 - Student feedback helped guide the design of Frank and Kay Woolsey Hall. They asked for collaboration, and they asked for caffeine. Woolsey Hall, the new home for the W. Frank Barton School of Business, is 30 to 40 percent finished and expected to be complete in late spring 2022 and ready for summer 2022 classes.

Sept. 10, 2021 鈥� 萝莉社Campus Recreation and the University Police Department teamed up this summer to teach more than 200 children from the Wichita community how to swim. The program was made possible by the Michael Phelps Foundation Grant received by Campus Recreation.

Sept. 8, 2021 鈥� A new, yearlong, interdisciplinary program focused on developing women leaders with a global, innovative mindset will start this fall at the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社 University. The Widener Global Leaders Program, made possible by a gift from Peri Widener, is designed to create a transformational experience and foster an inclusive community for women majoring in business, communication or fine arts.

Sept. 8, 2021 鈥� WERX at 萝莉社 University鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) has received its first Boeing 777-300ER passenger aircraft. As part of its rapidly growing Maintenance Repair and Overhaul program, 萝莉社-NIAR WERX, in conjunction with Kansas Modification Center, will convert the passenger aircraft into a freighter that will be transferred to an external client to meet the growing needs of the e-commerce and express cargo market.

Sept. 7, 2021 -- In partnership with the Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD), 萝莉社is hosting three public walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

Aug. 31, 2021 鈥� Wu Crew Reads is a pilot program between 萝莉社and Gordon Parks Elementary School. Members of the 萝莉社 community spend 20 minutes every week reading to and with third-graders via a virtual platform.

Aug. 27, 2021 鈥� Anthony Gallardo and Troy Moellinger have been named the 2021-22 recipients of the Layman L. Clark / Kansas CCIM Chapter Scholarship in Real Estate.

Aug. 26, 2021 鈥� The National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) has awarded a 萝莉社researcher $100,000 for his work on developing an app that allows visually impaired people to read comic books and graphic novels.

Aug. 23, 2021 - Casey Ratzlaff, a 萝莉社senior majoring in sport management, will compete in the Tokyo Paralympics Games beginning Aug. 27, at Ariake Tennis Park in Tokyo.聽

Aug. 19, 2021 -- Starting fall 2022, any qualified high school senior who is a resident of Sedgwick County will be eligible to receive a scholarship covering unmet tuition and fee costs to attend 萝莉社 University.
