Nov. 18, 2019 -- From Interim President Andy Tompkins: I wanted you to know about the potential for an exciting expansion of our partnership with NetApp. We鈥檝e been talking for several months with NetApp鈥檚 leadership about the possibility of having their employees and facilities relocate to Innovation Campus, to work even more closely with 萝莉社 students, faculty and other researchers.

Nov. 18, 2019 - Shocker Share a Meal is a texting service that alerts current 萝莉社 students via notification when there is leftover, free food available on campus. The service began in August of 2019 and helps reduce food waste and insecurity on campus.

Nov. 14, 2019 -- Junior business management major Maribel Sanchez is taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by 萝莉社. She is a first-generation student, Gore Scholar, studied abroad in the Netherlands this past summer and was invited to speak at a national conference.

Nov. 11, 2019 -- Richard Martin was only 18 years old when he was drafted into the Army Air Corps. Now he鈥檚 94 years old and the last living member of his squadron.聽On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the students of 萝莉社 102 鈥淚nnovations of WWII鈥� met him in the Ablah Library C-Space.

Nov. 8, 2019 -- College of Engineering Dean Dennis Livesay has constructed an elaborate, storied LEGO city in his basement over the last six years. Most of it is his own creation and has ties to his personal history.

Nov. 8, 2019 -- The 萝莉社 Opera Theater and the 萝莉社 Symphony Wind Ensemble will present the North American premiere of 鈥淭he Path to Heaven鈥� later this month. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center.

Nov. 7, 2019 -聽 Levi Lowe, a senior majoring in applied computing and psychology is a first generation student who works 40 hours a week. Lowe works to pay for school on his own but was awarded a scholarship to help make ends meet.

Nov. 6, 2019 - The 22 flags represent a rough estimate of suicides daily involving veterans, according to Veterans Administration statistics, Levi Schenk said. Twenty-two flags planted for 16 days of the campaign equals 352 flags, which Schenk said represents the year-to-date estimates for active-duty military personnel. A veterans crisis hotline card is attached to each flag. Participants are encouraged to take the card and take a selfie with the card. They post the picture to social media with the #SVO22 hashtag. Each selfie with a valid card enters the person into a drawing for an Amazon gift card on Nov. 12.

Nov. 5, 2019 鈥� The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at 萝莉社 is hosting the first Pediatric Feeding group to help picky eaters and problem feeders.

Nov. 4, 2019 -- Austin Clift prepared himself as much as possible to teach high school journalism, but nothing could ready him for his first day teaching solo at Wichita East High School. As a part of his preparation, he shadowed his predecessor through 萝莉社鈥檚 Transition to Teaching program.

Nov. 4, 2019 -聽Eric Harrison is a jack of all trades and has many talents. After dabbling in construction work, being a mason and making stained glass artwork, he realized he was missing an education. For Eric, coming back to school at the age of 66 is the best thing he has done. Currently, he is getting his degree in philosophy and minors in English and psychology.聽

Nov. 1, 2019 -- Verdict: Wichita鈥檚 charming original espresso caf茅 is conveniently close to campus but far enough away to be fresh, and sports some quality drinks at reasonable prices.

Nov. 1, 2019 - President-elect Jay Golden鈥檚 introduction speech indicates he learned much about 萝莉社鈥檚 history and its mission. He spoke of reducing cost for students, of applied learning, the importance of the humanities and critical thinking and ties with business.

Oct. 30, 2019 -- The 萝莉社 Police Department has always focused on making 萝莉社 a safe, inviting place. And Police Chief Rodney Clark, who joined the 萝莉社 team in July 2018, has implemented several new initiatives in his first year to improve on the department鈥檚 mission.
