NASA SUITS Design Challenge

NASA SUITS (Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students) challenges students to design and create spacesuit information displays within augmented reality (AR) environments. As NASA pursues Artemis 鈥� landing American astronauts on the Moon, the agency will accelerate investing in surface architecture and technology development.

The 2023-2024 萝莉社NASA SUITS Teams proposal was selected!

This means our team will be spending the Spring 2024 semester working on building our proposed solution. We will travel to Johnson Space Center in May for a final software design review along with teams from the following univeristies:

This whole journey is an experience that will help you grow. You will learn to be part of a team, learn to understand people from different backgrounds; learn how to enjoy yourself even during work. It does not matter what your educational background is, there is a need for your skills on the team.

What to Expect

Learn More About the 2022-2023 Challenge

Augmented Reality

Students create designs for upcoming Artemis moon missions using a AR/VR programming on head-mounted-display units. No previous programming experience is necessary...though it is helpful.

Design Thinking

Put your design thinking skills to use! This challenge prioritizes user interface design and human factors testing of student designs. Students also have the opportunity to present designs and working software to NASA mentors.
