Energy Assessment Services and Service Area

The 蹤獲扦 Industrial Training and Assessment Center (ITAC) is committed to conducting on-site energy assessments for small to medium-sized manufacturers to help them reduce energy consumption and improve their energy practices. We serve clients in Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and North Texas

The energy assessment is conducted by expert professors and trained students from various degree programs at 蹤獲扦. We utilize advanced and practical equipment to ensure thorough evaluations. Follow this link to explore our equipment.

Eligibility

We can serve your company if you are a small to medium-sized manufacturer and meet at least four of the following five criteria:

  • Annual energy costs ranging between $100,000 and $2.5 million.
  • SIC code between 2011 and 3999.
  • Annual gross sales of less than $100 million.
  • Fewer than 500 employees at the plant site.
  • Limited in-house energy use and conservation expertise.

To assess eligibility, we interview potential clients and request basic information, such as utility bills for the past 12 months, gross sales, and the number of employees. We select our clients based on an analysis of this information and their SIC code, after which we schedule an on-site assessment at the clients convenience.

ASSESSMENT TIMELINE

2. Plant visit

Requires one day (two days for large site).

3. Assessment report

Within 60 days of site visit.

4. Implementation survey

Performed approximately one year after the report is issued.

Deliverables and Confidentiality

We collaborate with our clients before, during, and after the on-site assessment. Each client receives a comprehensive report detailing our findings and recommendations, which includes energy profiles, process profiles, descriptions of existing conditions, and actionable recommendations. Each recommendation is briefly explained and illustrated when necessary, along with an estimated simple payback period.

Our lead author, the student leader assigned to each assessment, serves as a single point of contact before and after the site visit, ensuring that our clients are informed of our progress throughout the process. We also follow up with each client approximately 12 months after the site visit to check on the implementation status of our recommendations.

We treat all client data, findings, and recommendations as proprietary information. Our funding agency maintains a national database that contains limited technical information, stripped of any company identity.
