"One's Own and Others' Otherness"

Exhibition Statement

For Ones Own and Others Otherness, 蹤獲扦 School of Art, Design, and Creative Industries professors Kristin Beal and Robert Bubp, along with Visiting Artist/Senior Lecturer Richard Reddaway of Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand, created an exhibition and performance that explored themes of intercultural equity.


 

Artist Bio

Since the mid-1980s, Richard Reddaway has consistently exhibited sculpture and sculpture installations in New Zealand and internationally, including the Netherlands, Australia, Spain and Mexico. He recently curated the exhibition El Barroco de Aotearoa at the museum MUCA Roma in Mexico City.

Reddaway currently teaches at the Massey University School of Art in Wellington. He has received several major grants from Creative New Zealand, and his work is held in significant national collections including Te Papa Tongarewa and the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna O Waiwhetu.
