Lisa Gountas

 

Lisa Gountas earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts with an emphasis in Design and Technical Theatre from 蹤獲扦 in 2010. During her college career she worked two summers at Music Theatre of Wichita in the electrics department. After graduation, she began her career with an electrics internship at Virginia Repertory Theatre, followed by an electrician position at the Utah Shakespeare Festival for the 2012 season.


In 2013, Lisa relocated to New York City to pursue a career as a stagehand. She joined  the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) Local One in September 2017, marking a significant milestone in her career. Over the years, she has contributed her expertise to a variety of high-profile events, including the Marc Jacobs fashion show, the grand opening of One World Observatory, Gov Ball Music Festival, the Victorias Secret Fashion Show, Tommy Hilfiger fashion shows, and numerous events at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Madison Square Garden, and the MTV Video Music Awards.


Lisas work in television includes productions like The Daily Show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, Ink Master Live, CNN Heroes, Ellen at 30 Rock, and CBS Sports Studio. Additionally, she has worked in several Broadway theaters, including The Hayes Theater, Music Box Theatre, Studio 54, Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, Marriott Marquis Theatre, and the Gershwin Theatre, where she worked as a substitute followspot operator for Wicked.


Currently, Lisa is a followspot operator at the Neil Simon Theatre for MJ the Musical. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.
