2024-2025 Fundraisers

February 13:  Bingo!

Games begin at 12:00 pm, but you can arrive anytime after 11:30 am to enjoy your lunch.
Open to the 萝莉社 Community!  We are offering four games, you may purchase up to three cards per game. 
Each card is $5.00, and proceeds will go to our scholarships.
The winner of each game will select a prize.
Optional lunch avaialble for $14.00, or bring your own!

September 17:  Founder's Day

we raised $1160 for W萝莉社 scholarships.

It is not too late to participate.  Donations are accepted year round.

Why are we participating?  W萝莉社鈥檚 mission is to raise funds for scholarships to 萝莉社 students.  Annually we provide two $2,000 scholarships.  Click this link to donate!  Women of 萝莉社 Scholarships (idonate.com)

Who can donate?  All of Shocker Nation, from alumni, students, and employees to parents and friends of the university.  Let鈥檚 involve many of our members this year!

In 2023, our first year to participate, we raised $955 from 17 donors.  This year our goal is $1,000, that is enough to cover one semester of one scholarship we award!  We plan to raise additional funds from our two Bingo fundraising events.

Why am I donating? 

I love being a member of Women of 萝莉社 for the social aspects and the scholarships. The lunches and other events we host help me connect with folks from other departments, which actually helps my job! As a library employee and advocate, it is important for me to engage with readers and researchers and talk about the 萝莉社 and Wichita Public libraries collections and services. Even if I don鈥檛 talk about libraries at W萝莉社 events, I hope my presence helps members know they can turn to me for answers to library questions. It is also helpful to learn what other people do on campus in my position as a reference librarian. Students often talk to reference librarians about a variety of problems and concerns. I鈥檓 also proud that W萝莉社 provides some financial support for students.

Students need more help now more than ever to complete their education.  As chair of W萝莉社鈥檚  scholarship committee for the last two years, it saddens me to see the position the students find themselves in financially to complete their education, I want to see our organization help more students so they can become successful.  They are our future.

Scholarships are extremely important to 萝莉社 students today so they can concentrate on their education and do so without working a lot of hours. I love hearing the students鈥� story and gratitude which makes it worth our fundraising efforts.  

Membership also builds relationship with other women associated with 萝莉社.

Payroll Deduction

W萝莉社 Scholarship Fund Payroll Deduction Form

All 萝莉社employees are able to contribute to the W萝莉社 Scholarship Fund through payroll deduction!

萝莉社 faculty and staff may gift any of the following:

  • one-time contributions
  • contributions of amounts to be taken out of paychecks in equal amounts
  • contribution amounts to be taken out of each paycheck indefinitely

Contributions per pay period will continue untiil your total pledge amount has been reached or until otherwise specified on the form.  It's your choice AND it's easy! 

Instructions for Payroll Deduction donations to the W萝莉社 Scholarship Fund:

  1. Complete the W萝莉社 Scholarship Fund Payroll Deduction Form.
  2. Return the form to Campus Box 130.

NOTE:  To end or change contribution amount, contact 萝莉社 Financial Operations Payroll at ext. 3074.

W萝莉社 Annual Scholarship Bash

Watch this space for an announcement!

Support the current generation of Shocker Women through our W萝莉社 Annual Scholarship Bash!  This fundraising event only happens once a year.  Proceeds go directly to the Women of 萝莉社 Scholarship/Fellowship fund which helps our female student attend 萝莉社 classes through financial aid.

Funds are raised through:

  • an online auction
  • and our generous auction donors (thank you!)

How you can help support students:

  • donate money online, through payroll deduction, check, or credit card
  • be a sustaining donor through payroll deductions
  • donate an auction item
  • bid in the auction
  • volunteer to help with event activities
