The Local Government Network (LGN) is a set of webinars and roundtables for local government professionals.
Women in Public Service (WPS) is an association of public service professionals created for networking and learning together. WPS hosts bi-monthly events throughout the year at central locations in Wichita as well as an annual conference.
PSRW is a national celebration to honor those who serve our communities as government employees. The PPMC plans activities to honor and celebrate our partners in public service.
The PPMC provides full-service management and logistical support for professional associations in the areas of membership, board support, professional conferences, facilitation, marketing, website and more.
The Kansas Government Finance Officers Association (KSGFOA) partners with Wichita State Universitys Public Policy and Management Center to provide membership development and operational support for the association. In addition, 蹤獲扦 staff provides conference planning, board support, marketing assistance and financial management support to the association.
The Kansas Museums Association (KMA) is the statewide organization for museums, historical societies, art galleries, nature centers and zoos, and is administrated by PPMC staff members. KMA is the primary provider of professional development education, advocacy, networking opportunities, and information for Kansas museums.
Since 1991, the Public Policy and Management Center at 蹤獲扦has managed and conducted professional development for the City Clerks and Municipal Finance Officers Association of Kansas (CCMFOA).
The Kansas/IIMC Municipal Clerks Certification Institute and Master Municipal Clerks Academy respond to the professional development needs of all municipal clerks and their office staff in Kansas. The courses offer theoretical and practical guidance in public administration, social and interpersonal concerns and special topics.
The City Clerk and Municipal Finance Officers Association of Kansas holds it annual Spring Conference providing professional development opportunities to City Clerks across the state of Kansas. These sessions are approved by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks for education points to allow the clerks to continue to work towards their professional designations.
In 1992, the Kansas County Clerks and Election Officials Association (KCCEOA) invited the Public Policy and Management Center at Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs to collaborate in the design and development of a certification institute for county clerks in Kansas. The result was the Sanborn Institute, a three-year institute covering professional development in public management, interpersonal skills, and technical skills. In 1995, the Sanborn Master Academy was added to offer continuing education for certified county clerks.
The Workforce Innovation Conference is jointly hosted by the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Kansas Board of Regents and features a series of presentations and workshops aimed at enhancing and improving workforce solutions in the State of Kansas.
