SIGMA DELTA PI, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society is an organization geared toward students
of Spanish who are completing or have completed three years of study of college-level
Spanish (18 semester credit hours) or the equivalent thereof, including a course in
Hispanic literature or culture (such as SPAN 223 or SPAN 325), and maintained an overall
cumulative and also an Spanish GPA of 3.0 or better. Graduate students who have satisfactorily
completed two graduate courses in Spanish are also eligible. For more information

EL CAFECITO is an informal weekly conversation table. Each meeting is under the guidance of an instructor. El Cafecito is a chance to meet with other students in an informal setting to further develop your Spanish comprehension and speaking skills in a relaxed setting. El cafecito currently meets every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Zoom, but will at some point in future semesters once again meet at Fast Break, RSC. SPANISH CLUB is a student-run organization aimed at promoting cultural awareness and community
among the student body through various activities and sponsored events. The Spanish
Club also offers tutoring to students in the beginning levels of Spanish. Each semester
the Spanish Club tries to sponsor multiple activities designed to engage students
with each other, but also to expose them to the history and culture of Spanish-speaking
countries. Some activities have included: movie nights, tours of the many sculptures
at 蹤獲扦 created by Hispanic artists, and special guest speakers.
