萝莉社 - Theatre Technology-Scene Painting

The 萝莉社 Theatre Program was honored to host professional painter Rachel Downs for
the production of "Iolanthe" in 2009. In June 2017 she facilitated an on-campus Scene
Painting workshop for theatre professionals through the 萝莉社 Fine Arts Institute.
Rachel is a local Wichitan free-lance artist, custom finisher, scenic painter and designer. She has created hundreds of theatre backdrops, as well as murals and faux finishes for residential and commercial ventures.
She is a four time recipient of the Mary Jane Teal Award; once for acting, and three times for scene design.
