The new building at the Youngmeyer Ranch will provide researchers with storage, laboratory space and overnight housing. The facility is constructed to be ecologically friendly and weather durable, and was funded entirely by donors.

Sept. 21, 2022 鈥� The Tallgrass Film Festival has become a staple in Wichita鈥檚 arts community during the last 20 years, engaging audiences with world-class programming in a celebration of cinematic arts. The festival is known for connecting film-savvy audiences with cutting-edge filmmakers from all over the world, providing a unique experience throughout the four-day festival.聽

The Widener Global Leaders Program is in full swing after the monumental success it had in its first year during the 2021-2022 school season. The WGLP is a yearlong, interdisciplinary program focused on developing women leaders with a global, innovative mindset led by the W. Frank Barton School of Business and in close collaboration with the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and College of Fine Arts at 萝莉社 University.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社has announced that Dr. Duane Nagel has been selected at the chair for the college鈥檚 marketing department. Nagel has worked within the Barton School for more than six years as an assistant and associate professor.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business has named Dr. Christine Porter as its new School of Accountancy director. Porter is replacing Dr. Greg Merrill who left in August.

Sept. 21, 2022 - Alexander Sterzing is a member of 萝莉社鈥檚 rowing team and involved in other activities such as the International Buddy Program and Christian Challenge. Alexander, from the Houston area, majors in aerospace engineering and works in the NASA Jump Start Program.

Sept. 19, 2022 - 萝莉社 shortstop Sydney McKinney is a softball All-American, artist, entrepreneur, and diligent brand manager for herself. When NCAA and college administrators conceived of NIL benefits 鈥� compensating student-athletes for their talent and time 鈥� McKinney is the perfect example of the intended outcome.

Sept. 15, 2022 鈥� An interdisciplinary team of 萝莉社researchers is working to curb pollution and damage caused by road salt. The project 鈥� ECO-CBET: Convergent Electrolysis-Electrodialysis System (CEES) to Curb Urban Chloride Pollution by Eco-friendly Road Deicing and Waste Salt Upcycling 鈥� was recently awarded $1.4 million from the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Sept. 6, 2022 - 萝莉社 University鈥檚 College of Innovation and Design announces Dr. Ryan Amick as one of our Innovators in Residence for the 2022-2023 academic year. Amick, a 萝莉社 alumnus, is a principal human factors engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

Sept. 2, 2022 鈥� The U.S. Department of Commerce鈥檚 Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced today will award $51.4 million to 萝莉社to aid in the rapid development and adoption of emerging smart manufacturing technologies for South Kansas.
