Aug. 28, 2023 鈥� Through the 萝莉社chapter of Engineers without Borders, three Shockers recently began the process of working with the rural community of Mercedes de Agua Sucia in Manabi, Ecuador, to build a pedestrian bridge that will give residents safe passage to the main road and nearby cities to sell the goods and products from their farms, shop in nearby El Carmen, and for children to attend school.

Aug. 3, 2023 鈥� Bolstered by a $2 million National Science Foundation grant, a group of 萝莉社 researchers is hoping to create a paradigm shift from the use of harmful nitrous oxide-based fertilizers to more eco-friendly nitrogen fertilizers that would reduce greenhouse gases.

Kelley, an exercise science major, and three other students modified an all-terrain wheelchair for a nine-year-old boy who outgrew the chair鈥檚 previous dimensions.

April 20, 2023 - Kayce Litzau is a senior setter on 萝莉社 University鈥檚 volleyball team and an engineering major. She is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to 萝莉社 students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to 萝莉社 and the surrounding community.

She prioritized her interest in engineering before athletics. 萝莉社 fits the select number of schools with strong engineering and strong softball. Feb. 6, 2023 鈥� The 萝莉社College of Engineering is hosting an Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) event, commonly known as Girl Day, for high school girls from Wichita Public Schools. The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 in the Shirley Beggs Ballroom on the third floor of the Rhatigan Student Center.

Jan. 20, 2023 - In December, the National Science Foundation Convergence Accelerator Track awarded a 萝莉社-led team a $750,000 grant to gather information and create digital maps of indoor spaces that could be used by persons with disabilities.
