April 20, 2023 - Kayce Litzau is a senior setter on 萝莉社 University鈥檚 volleyball team and an engineering major. She is one of 10 students to earn Senior Honor recognition, the highest honor awarded to 萝莉社 students who demonstrate outstanding scholarship, leadership, involvement and service to 萝莉社 and the surrounding community.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社has chosen two recipients to receive the 2023 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year鈥檚 winners are Kayla Atkinson from Andover Central High School and Caleb Lowry from Eisenhower High School. They will each receive more than $32,500 spread over four years to attend 萝莉社 and major in entrepreneurship.

April 20, 2023 - 萝莉社鈥檚 Media Resources Center will live-stream the Plains Regional Regatta for the third year, using MRC staff and students for all aspects of the production. It takes place Sunday on the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita.

April 19, 2023 - 萝莉社鈥檚 select team boasts a local contingent not found on rosters since the program鈥檚 early days in the 1970鈥檚. 萝莉社鈥檚 bowling teams are in Las Vegas this week for the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Singles and Team Championships.

April 14, 2023 鈥� 萝莉社 University鈥檚聽Environmental Finance Center聽is one of 17 locations selected to establish an Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center. This new center will promote environmental and energy justice in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and adjoining Indigenous nations.

In just its first year, the Collegiate DECA chapter at 萝莉社is already making its mark nationwide. The 萝莉社 team competed in the statewide DECA competition at Tabor College on February 24. Two members, Jennifer Calvo and Nathan Holloway, placed in the top three in their events. As a result, they will represent Kansas at a national collegiate DECA competition happening April 15^th to 19^th聽in Orlando, Florida.

April 6, 2023 鈥� With the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic behind us, 萝莉社 University鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory will soon be expanding its focus to become a full microbiology laboratory.

Earlier this Spring, 萝莉社announced seven high school students from Kansas and Oklahoma have become the newest recipients of the Koch Scholarship. These Koch Scholars have been awarded $30,000 (for in-state students) or $45,000 (for out-of-state students) each. The competitive program is based on high academic achievement, work, volunteer and leadership experiences, an essay and an interview process.

Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社will host Erin Cummings as she begins to showcase her first published work, 鈥淭he Possibility Project: A Guided Journal for Creating What鈥檚 Possible.鈥� The kickoff event will be at Woolsey Hall on April 27 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. It will feature a presentation by Cummings titled 鈥淢oving With Purpose and Unlocking Possibilities鈥� followed by a book signing opportunity for attendees along with a networking reception. Cummings is a Barton School graduate, president of the school鈥檚 Dean鈥檚 Alumni Advisory Board and owner of YESyoga.

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 萝莉社is launching its Business Hall of Fame to recognize, honor and celebrate the industry executives and business leaders who have gone above and beyond in making a significant impact on their communities and advancement of the Barton School.

April 3, 2023 鈥� A user experience (UX) Austin research firm has discovered a secret ingredient in its recipe for success: 萝莉社students. In the past decade, several students have found their way to Human Interfaces, an Austin UX firm, for both applied learning experiences and full-time careers.

March 30, 2023 鈥� The Great Plains has often been overlooked in the history books of North America, but recent discoveries made by a team of 萝莉社archaeologists are rewriting the history of where the beating heart of North American actually was in the pre-historic era before the arrival of Christopher Columbus.

March 30, 2023 鈥斅燜or the second consecutive year, 萝莉社has been named a Voter Friendly Campus by the Fair Election Center鈥檚 Campus Vote Project and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).

March 30, 2023 - 萝莉社students use the editing suite at Shocker Studios for their video projects. The studio features theater lighting and seating, a 4K digital cinema compliant projector and a 200-inch screen. 鈥淣o one else has this, certainly no one in the Midwest,鈥� said Justin Rorabaugh, director of Shocker Studios.

March 28, 2023 鈥� 萝莉社 University鈥檚 chapter for Society of Professional Engineers will be hosting Noche de Ciencias for Wichita Public School students and their families from 4:30 to 6:45 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at Wichita North High School.

March 24, 2023 - Paul Mills walked on the court at Charles Koch Arena as head coach of the Shockers for the first time on Thursday. He is well acquainted with the building, however, and how 萝莉社 fans can fill seats and affect games.

March 22, 2023 鈥� 萝莉社nursing students on the 萝莉社 main campus and Kansas State University campus celebrated their Nightingale Nursing Commitment Ceremonies on March 3. Students recited and signed the modern Nightingale Pledge as a commitment to uphold the standards of the nursing profession.

March 21, 2023 - For the 12th straight year, 萝莉社is the most popular transfer destination for students at Kansas community colleges.

March 21, 2023 鈥� The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a student organization at 萝莉社 University, is hosting a Mother Daughter Day event for local middle school girls and their adult female role models. The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25 in the lobby of the John Bardo Center at 萝莉社.

March 20, 2023 - Los Angeles-based indie pop band SAINT MOTEL will perform in concert at 萝莉社at 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, at Charles Koch Arena. SAINT MOTEL鈥檚 inventive live performances have earned the band a loyal fanbase that flock to its headlining shows and standout sets at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.
